Beginning with Adobe Story and moving on to Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, After Effects, the Adobe Media Encoder, and Encore, you?ll follow a client brief to create a complete project, learning everything you need to know to produce media assets for broadcast and the web. In addition to updating your skills by introducing the new and enhanced features in CS5.5, this course will help to consolidate your familiarity with the existing technologies. You’ll also spend some time looking at creative decisions relating to the original brief and how they affect the choices made within the creative applications. When you finish this course you will feel more confident than ever in your ability to work with the applications in the Creative Suite, make creative choices about media and the technology they use, and dynamically share creative work between multiple applications.
This unique workshop takes you through the complete process of creating a video project, from script-writing in Adobe Story all the way to editing in Premiere Pro, adding titles and effects with After Effects, and outputting with Adobe Media Encoder and Encore. Once you have created your assembly edit, it’s time to get down to some serious editing with Premiere Pro. This chapter shows you some advanced techniques for transforming your assembly edit into a final cut.
Creating Assets and Effects with Photoshop
Photoshop is so much more than a graphics and photo-editing tool. In fact, it provides significant additional tools for the video editor. This chapter shows you some useful features and walks you through creating assets for the project we are working on.

Grading and Finishing with After Effects
Many editors finish their work in After Effects. The powerful effect Color Finesse, by Synthetic Aperture, is included with After Effects and this chapter focuses on using it to grade our trailer.
Outputting to Adobe Media Encoder, Encore, and the Render Queue
This is it – the big moment. The project is complete, the client has approved, and it’s time to output to multiple media. This chapter shows you how to use export settings in Premiere Pro and After Effects and walks you through creating an interactive DVD and web video based on our trailer.
